The State makes every effort to ensure that women have equal rights to employment with men, and endeavors to remove barriers to women's equal employment. The country mobilizes various non-governmental sectors to expand the employment channels for women, and formulates and implements policies supporting women's self-employment. The positive role of women's federations at all levels is brought into full play in making known to authorities women's demands, in promoting equal employment and equal pay for equal work, and in providing rights protection services. By 2008 women workers accounted for more than 45.4 percent of the working population nationwide.
The Chinese government is formulating an overall plan for the employment of the disabled and has adopted the principle of combining centralized and decentralized employment, so as to guarantee the right to employment for the disabled.
Each wooden or plaster paso is a distinct depiction of the Passion or a grieving Mary, and some are centuries-old artistic masterpieces. They are tended to by the cofradias, many of which formed back in the 1500s and 1600s. Some of the pasos from back then are still carried today.Cordoba, with its tangled warren of narrow streets and rich Catholic, Islamic and Jewish history, is only about 45 minutes away. Within a two-to-three-hour trip are Cadiz, one of Europe's oldest cities; Granada, home of the breathtaking Alhambra fortress; and Malaga, where the Semana Santa floats are bigger and are accompanied by more exuberant music and applause. Each city could merit an overnight stay.
THE six-day Milan Fashion Week has wrapped up with its cutting-edge styles and trends for next spring and summer. During the past week, 78 fashion shows were staged, attracting flocks of fashion magazine editors, stylists, celebrities and buyers to the fashion capital of the world.
For the first time, Milan Fashion Week moved its runways from the remote Milan Exhibition Hall (Fiera di Milano) to the city's downtown areas. Fashion shows were thrown up in the Lawyers' Palace (Palazzo dei Giureconsulti) and three other places, not far from the landmark Scala Opera House (La Scala) and the Cathedral of Milan (Duomo del Mialno), adding a touch of permanence.
The following DKNY show at the same venue was an ideal illustration of the casual, carefree New York style, though. Boyfriend jackets, one of the most popular fashion items in recent years, were the key elements throughout the show. They were paired with cuffed shorts, slouchy pants or classic cocktail dresses. There were also combinations of delicate floral prints in different sizes.
On Tuesday, another high-end American fashion brand, St John, introduced the most classic and polished American style in a show at the Peninsula Hotel, where the brand's new store is located.
On display were tailored fit jackets matched with flattering pencil skirts, graceful little black dresses decorated with shining crystal beads, strapless dresses with richly textured floral embroidery, as well as long, luxurious knitted evening gowns.
Bosh blew kisses to spectators after the final buzzer to a mix of boos and cheers after the game.
"It's a sarcastic one to all the naysayers and it's real to all the good supporters," Bosh said of his kisses. "People are going to take it the way they want to. The most important thing is the win. We wanted to keep our momentum going."

I remember a time when Dev Anand's hair style - the puff
in the front -
became such a rage that even a teacher of mine in a
Kolkata school combed
his hair that way and imagined himself to be the star.
Thank god, the
teacher did not do a Dev, or should I say a Gregory
Peck, walk. For, Dev,
to please his girlfriend Suraiya, mimicked Peck to
perfection!
Later in the 1970s, Rajesh Khanna's "Guru"
kurta became such a hit that
both men and women, boys and girls wore it. And, do you
remember the
Sadhana haircut that covered the forehead. Not to
forget, the kind of
saris that adorned shop windows in India's metros, and
each was named
after a film or the heroine who was draped in the
six-yard splendour.
The picture is not very different today. The lehenga
